Aloe Vera ("real" aloe) is a medicinal plant that has been used for centuries. The first scientific description as "Aloe perfoliata var. Vera" was made in 1753 by Carl von Linné. The plant is grown in subtropical and tropical regions, increasingly also in the Mediterranean, India, Mexico and the Canary Islands.

The leaf gel from the aloe vera plant is used for processing our products. The large lanceolate leaves of the plant are therefore thick and fleshy. The fillet-like gel contains a number of natural active ingredients. Studies show the effect of the aloe vera leaf gel when used aterally for the following complaints and diseases:

  • skin inflammation
  • dermatitis
  • reddening of the skin
  • psoriasis
  • genital herpes
  • wound healing
  • burns
